Eugene H Chung

Dr. Chung graduated from East Lansing High School and Harvard College before attending Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned a doctorate in medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and two fellowships in both cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology (EP) at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. While on faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), Dr. Chung performed a range of EP procedures with a focus on complex ablation of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias. He performed the first epicardial catheter ablation at UNC.
Dr. Chung’s clinical interests include sports cardiology, arrhythmias in athletes, sudden cardiac death prevention, catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contractions (PVCs).
